Carla "The Truth" Youngblood

Carla better known as “The Truth” is a woman with many talents. She is an Author, Podcaster, Speaker, and Comedienne. Comedy holds the biggest part of her heart. Her first performance was at the Stardome Comedy Club in Birmingham, Alabama. From there she has performed from L. A. to New York City.

In October 2015, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After having sixteen rounds of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy and twenty-eight treatments of radiation, she created a one woman show titled "The Truth" about Breast Cancer where she shares her experience in a unique and hysterical way.

In 2019, Carla wrote her first book, Cancer Ain’t Funny! Laugh Anyway! She did not write her second book, Bama Tales with a Twist until 2021while she was locked in the house during the pandemic.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Carla has become a household name after being featured on Inside Her Story with Jacque Reid on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show, WBRC Fox 6, Talk of Alabama and countless articles published about her comedy, writing and humorous speaking.
