Carla began talking at an early age. When she entered kindergarten, her teacher told her to " talk loud" and no one has been able to silence her down since.
During grade school, when an opportunity presented itself for her to speak, she jumped at the opportunity for the stage. This continued into adulthood as she started hosting events at churches which led her into stand-up comedy.
After years of stand-up, adding public speaking to her repertoire came with ease. She started with speaking to students to include, elementary, middle and high school. She even gave speeches to the parents.
Being a member and officer of Toastmasters International's Summit Speakers Club adds to her competence and confidence as a speaker. She is the 2020 Division B International Speech Winner.
After surviving breast cancer and writing her debut book, Cancer Ain't Funny! Laugh Anyway... she has taken her speaking career to another level motivating crowds from Brooklyn, New York to Winner, South Dakota.
Carla holds her audience captive when she speaks. Her humorous antidotes are contagious...
